Beta 2.3 Update


Big beta update today! Lots of bug fixes, quality of life improvements, gameplay pacing changes, and new beta testing tools.

Bugs:

1. ACTUALLY fixed machine generating too many planets (please god let it be fixed)

2. Fixed the player being unable to apply graphic settings outside of the main menu

3. Fixed the penguin balloon graphics (accidentally used the placeholder)

4. Fixed the water ripple of the dog house sometimes not matching the boat's ripple color

5, Fixed the dog house flying too high out of the water on universes with rougher waters

6. Fixed being able to accidentally open other menus from interactable items while already being in a menu (sorry to everyone who accidentally teleported into the painting)

7. Fixed the color of the "Max" text still changing based off if you can afford it even though it's already maxed out

8. Fixed the players hat getting auto un-equipped when returning home from sailing


Quality of life improvements:

1. Adjusted the hitboxes of the fishing mini game to be more accurate to what the player is seeing (still need to fix it in the tutorial as well)

2. Removed the ability to interact with the upgrade and shop menu in the tutorial since the player can't do anything with them anyway

3. Improved the name generation of universes. Names will now be shorter and easier to pronounce. I implemented a system to check and limit verb usage

4. Made the close book button more obvious

5. Fixed some font's not being correct (except for the credits bc its not done anyway)

6. fixed text overlapping in the tutorial


Pacing: I was told the game felt to grindy so I have made a lot of changes to the economy and progression

1. Lowered the prices of items that the player is unable to interact with as well as some of the prices of the interactable items

2. Lowered the prices for rod upgrades

3. increased the effectiveness of the "planet worth" upgrade

4. Decreased the amount of times you can upgrade the planet generator (was 140 times now its 60) 

5. Increased the efficiency of the planet generator (max upgrade was 1 planet every 40 seconds now its 20)

6. DECREASED the amount of money helpers make BUT INCREASED the production frequency

7. Increased amount of temp currency helpers make

8. Increased amount of temp currency you get from breaking asteroids 


Beta Specific:

1. Free beta money now gives 50000 per click instead of 1000

2. Added a button to reset ALL data and start over
